Three Sisters Resale and More

They really are three sisters - Kathie Tofaute, Carol Monahan, and Janet Adams - originally from Ohio who moved to the Hilton Head area permanently within the last two years. Kathie moved from Pensacola, FL; Carol from Alexandria, VA' and Janet from Indianapolis, IN. Kathie and Carol live in Sun City and Janet's home is on Daufuskie Island. Kathie's career is in banking - all over the east coast - where she has done her duty as a cashier, was promoted to a branch manager, and became a bank officer. Carol has been in purchasing and contracting with the Air Force in Georgia and the Washington DC area and with The Smithsonian Institution from which she retired last November as the associate director for purchasing. Janet's education is in nursing and she's used that wealth of knowledge in health care marketing and as a physician liaison in Indiana and surrounding states.

If you'd ask Kathie, Carol, and Janet about their passion for re-purposing, reclaiming, upcycling and collecting vintage items and antiques, the three sisters would certainly make mention of their parents, John and Betty Petras. There is no doubt that the three sisters' inspiration came from the many days watching and helping their parents collect a house, garage, and store-full of treasurers. The anticipation of the hunt, the excitement when special items are found, and the continued enjoyment of those treasures is in their blood!
